Venus, Jupiter and Moon alignment...

Have you seen the planetary conjunction made by the planets Jupiter and Venus together with a crescent moon last December 1, 2008? The unusual thing is that it created a smiley face! It's like heaven smiled down on us. Now, how cute is that? ;)

It is a very rare alignment and it will still be visible until January next year (but probably not with the same formation). I have also learned that the next visible Venus-Jupiter conjunction will be on the evening of March 14, 2012.

Astronomers also said that there will be a meteor shower on December 13. The last meteor shower that I saw was 2 or 3 years ago. I will try to catch it on video. Can't wait for it! I just hope that there will be a clear evening sky by that time. ;)
